US petrochemical producer Axiall will increase its US liquid caustic soda prices by $60/dry st effective July 1, it said in a notice to customers Wednesday.
In addition, the company is raising its caustic soda prices in Canada by C$65/dmt.
The company did not provide reason for the the price increase.
Occidental Chemical sent a similar announcement to its customers last week, saying its US prices would rise $60/dst effective immediately for spot buyers or as contract terms allow for contract buyers. In addition, OxyChem said it was raising its caustic soda prices in Canada by C$65/dmt.
"OxyChem's 100% order control program and required lead-times of 30 days on barge orders and seven days on rail car orders also remain in effect. All existing Temporary Voluntary Allowances remain in place," the company told customers.
