Galleria Intima Is Moving to Delhi for Its 4th Edition to Be Held on 26-27 August,2015

India’s biggest intimate wear sourcing show Galleria Intima is moving to Delhi for its 4th edition to be held on 26-27 August, 2015.

An initiative of Intimate Apparel Association of India (IAAI), Galleria Intima 2015 will see participation from over 80 exhibitors and 1500 visitors.

While the event will see participation from all product categories, a major focus of this year’s event will be on OEMs, private label manufacturers and packaging companies. Through this annual gathering, IAAI hopes to realise the potential of these categories of the intimate apparel sector and bring about greater collaboration, utilisation of resources and global recognition between these industry stakeholders and the topmost partners in the manufacture-supply chain, the brands and buyers, IAAI said in a statement.

From only about 32 exhibitors at its inaugural 2012 edition, the trade show expanded to attract over 60 exhibitors that included countries like China, Bangladesh, Thailand, Italy, France, the US and Turkey, at the last edition.

Besides a strong showing by exhibitors, the third edition also witnessed a visitor footfall of about 855 that included about 500 brands from India alone besides first-time and regular trade visitors and buyers. A majority of them as well as newer members are expected to participate this year for networking and enrichment.

“As India opens up its manufacturing sector under the aegis of Narendra Modi and his ‘Make in India’ policy, over the years Galleria Intima sees itself as taking on a more decisive role in being the impetus that makes the manufacturing dream in the intimate wear market a reality,” says IAAI.

The two-day show will also include educational workshops and seminars as well as white paper presentations by seasoned industry insiders and professionals from India and abroad. These educational initiatives are part IAAI’s plan to help exhibitors, visitors and buyers to make the most of their time at the event.

Another highlight of the event is the facilitation of trade talks and enquiries as well business meetings between visitors and buyers. These pre-planned meetings are highly subject-centric and are aimed at industry associates who are short of time but want to network with the big players of the intimate wear world. The trade show’s list of highlights also includes the showcase of the best in manufacturing and technological skills with exceptional and world-class innovations and machineries on display by many players of the industry.

“The objective of the trade show is to showcase the best that the country has got to offer while enabling international suppliers to gain a foothold in the Indian intimate wear market. The reasons behind the rise in visitor footfall and participation are not difficult to fathom. Galleria Intima provides the industry stakeholders, manufacturers, decision-makers and big-wigs a common platform to meet and network under one roof,” says Yusuf Dohadwala, CEO of IAAI.

The respect for and popularity of the event is even evident in the remarks of Sunil Sharma, the director of Bellini Marketing Advisors and representative of the Italian brand Eurojersey: “We want to put our name in the Indian market and this fair is a very good platform to introduce the company. Galleria Intima has given us an opportunity to tell the Indian manufacturers that we have arrived.”

Galleria Intima 2015 plans to scale new heights this year and the change in location from Goa to New Delhi, the capital of the country, is a testament of the apex body’s determination to foster greater involvement from all parts of the country and the globe.

Established in 2010, the aim of IAAI is to promote and develop the Indian intimate wear sector and transform the sector as well as the country into a global production hub.
