Want Samsung's Gear S3 Smartwatch? We've Got Some Bad News for You

Either stocks were low or demand was high, but Samsung’s Gear S3 has already sold out.

The Samsung Gear S3 smartwatch is now out of stock in the UK, just four days after being made available to pre-order. The wearable’s official release date is still set for November 11, but no more orders will be taken for the time being. The following message has been posted on Samsung’s official Gear S3 webpage:

“Due to high demand the Gear S3 is currently unavailable. Leave your details with us and we’ll let you know when it’s back in stock."

Samsung announced the Gear S3 back in August, showing off two variants: Frontier and Classic. Both designs will set you back £349, which puts it in the same price range as the new Apple Watch Series 2 (£369).

If Gear S3 customers made their purchase before 19:00 (GMT) on November 10, they’d have received a free pair of Level Active headphones. However, this deal was only available for the first 1,000 pre-orders, and we’re guessing that cap has already been hit.

The Samsung Gear S3 runs on a custom-built Tizen OS, as opposed to the more popular Google-built Android Wear software. It features a circular 1.3-inch Super AMOLED display with a 360 x 360 pixel resolution, and is powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 7270 chip. It also boasts 4GB of storage, 768MB of RAM, and a 380mAh battery that supports wireless charging.
