Under Armour Hints at New Healthbox Hardware at CES 2017 - Can It Do Better?

Under Armour has hinted at plans to announce new tech hardware in early 2017.

Following the launch of the UA HealthBox devices earlier this year, the apparel firm seems keen to add to its growing arsenal of fitness trackers, chest straps and smart scales.

Speaking to Wareable, the company’s chief digital officer Mike Lee said: "We plan to make more announcements on this front in early 2017."

Of course, early 2017 would seemingly set the table for a reveal at CES 2017, exactly a year after it unveiled the first HealthBox devices.

We reviewed the £350 Health Box package in August and gave it a disappointing 4/10 score.

Although it earned praise for the accurate step and sleep tracking, comfortable heart-rate monitor and a well designed app, it fell short in other areas.

The body scales were flawed, the activity tracking was too basic and the expense of the platform pulled it down.
