Nintendo announced it has enhanced the backwards compatibility of the Wii U, enabling users to download classic Wii titles.

During the latest Nintendo Direct, Nintendo revealed it is improving the backwards compatibility with original Wii titles.

Nintendo has managed to reproduce Wii disc software and port them to the Wii U Nintendo eShop for downloading.

The gaming giant hasn't confirmed whether the digital versions of the Wii games will be enhanced for the Wii U in any way though.
