Grundfos Partners with WaterAid

Grundfos and the international development charity WaterAid have announced a new five-year partnership.

Grundfos will support WaterAid by providing advice on the use and maintenance of its water systems in some of the world’s poorest communities. Both Grundfos and WaterAid will also work together to come up with innovative solutions to ensure the communities where the two organisations work have a lasting supply of clean water.

“We are delighted to be working together with Grundfos to find innovative solutions to help bring water and sanitation to some of the world’s poorest communities. This collaboration will see more people around the world get clean water in an affordable and sustainable way, through the use of solar-powered systems and other innovative technologies that last,” said Barbara Frost, WaterAid’s chief executive.

“Our water technology can make a true difference by bringing water to people everywhere. We have the necessary hardware and knowledge to remedy some of the grave water issues, the world is facing. Therefore, we must take responsibility and work to solve these challenges. Together with WaterAid, we can use each other’s competencies to reach more people with water,” said Mads Nipper, CEO and group president at Grundfos.

In addition to helping bring clean water to some of the world’s poorest communities, WaterAid and Grundfos will also work together to advocate for universal access to water within the next 14 years, as part of the new UN Sustainable Development Goals.
