Engel Austria GmbH Recently Launched a New Line of Injection Molding Machine

Engel Austria GmbH recently launched a new line of injection molding machine, the e-mac all-electric machine, for precise production of technical parts. Machines with clamping forces of 50, 75 and 100 are already available in the market, while a 180 tons machine will be added to the series before the end of this year. “The demand for simple, all-electric injection molding machines for components which need to have very precise dimensions is increasing,” explains Christian Pum, Engel Austria’s Sales Director. “The new ENGEL e-mac enables us to meet these requirements brilliantly.” The e-mac is equipped with the Engel CC 200 machine control, therefore offering full modularity and automation technology integration. Because of their compact design, Engel says these machines will also save production floor space and lower operating costs. The servo drives are operated by an axis system solution involving a stabilized intermediate circuit. The braking energy is recovered and fed directly back into the grid, guaranteeing a high level of energy efficiency. According to the company, the e-mac machines work with high repetition accuracy and, because of the parallel movements of the different drive axes, reduce cycle times. While the e-motion machines are used primarily in the field of medical technology and for fast-cycling and multi-component applications, the e-mac is a particularly economical alternative for technical injection molding applications, adds Engel.
