Klockner Pentaplast Added The New Pentafoodbpet Films to Existing Range

Klockner Pentaplast, a producer of rigid polyester films has added the new PentafoodBPET films to its existing range of Pentafood film product line for frozen food applications.

Designed to be used in conditions as low as -20° C, the new films are claimed to be suitable for deep-draw, tray and blister thermoformed applications.

The films have better sealing properties and multiple sealant options such as permanent or easy-peel seals and are offered in mono and multi-layer structures of BPET, BPET/PE, BPET/EVOH/PE, as well as BPET light films.

According to the company, the films are suitable for modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) and are available in standard opaque colors. They also run on standard thermoforming and form/fill/seal equipment.

PentafoodBPET films are said to be in accordance with respective EU regulations and directives, as well as the applicable national legislations and international standards.

Klockner Pentaplast packaging product manager for Europe Gabriele Moesges-Haas said, "Pentafood  BPET  films were developed to help meet customers' needs for an APET film with enhanced processing efficiency."

The Klockner Pentaplast Group, which is wholly owned by the Strategic Value Partners Investor Group, produces films for pharmaceutical, medical device, food, electronics, and general-purpose thermoform packaging, as well as printing and specialty applications.
