Naturepak Invests in Second Heidelberg Intro to Expand Casablanca Facility

Naturepak Beverage Packaging is installing Heidelberg Intro Web-Printing technology at its manufacturing plant in Casablanca, Morocco.

The investment in the Heidelberg Intro Web-Printing-Press machine with 6 front-side Print Units and one reverse-side Print Unit is part of the firm’s effort to meet the increasing demand for beverage and food packaging.

Heidelberg said: “The new line will perform with the latest high-definition flexo-quality and produces from reel to the die-cut blanks.”

The new webfed solution will complement the Naturepak’s existing Heidelberg Intro solution, which is designed to produce Gable Top Packaging with 330m/min performance while using UV-curing inks.

Naturepak business unit manager Hassen Khemiri said: “Heidelberg’s Intro Web-Printing-Press machine was our ideal choice due to its track-record of productivity and reliability, and dependable after-sales-web-carton service division.

“This investment is part of The Industrial Group’s aggressive expansion program and in-line with its growth agenda.”

Naturepak Beverage Packaging is a joint venture between The Industrial Group and paperboard liquid packaging firm Evergreen Packaging.

Operating two packaging plants in Damma, Saudi Arabia and Casablanca, Morocco, the firm serves dairies, beverage and dry foods companies in the Greater Middle East, Africa and India.

Naturepak’s Casablanca plant, which was launched in 2011, is designed to accommodate the future installation of additional production lines.

Germany-based Heidelberg Web Carton Converting (HWCC), the flexo press division of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen, provides integrated Inline Webfed solutions for packaging industry.
