Third Street, a US-based producer of Organic and Fair Trade chai concentrates, has unveiled two ready-to-drink (RTD) iced teas - Unsweetened Black Tea and Unsweetened Green Tea - at Whole Foods Market.
The iced teas are available in one liter bottles and are USDA-Organic, Fair Trade and Gluten-Free certified as well as Non-GMO Project Verified.
Third Street stated that its teas are micro-brewed from tea leaves hand-picked from the region of Nilgiri, India and no sweeteners are added to the zero-calorie blends.
Third Street founder and president John Simmons said the RTD Tea category is one of the fastest growing in the beverage industry.
"Sales continue to grow 7% annually, making it a $4.8 billion category. Within this category, the unsweetened RTD teas are showing significant growth," Simmons added.
Third Street's one liter iced teas are priced at $2.49 and will be available at Whole Foods Market outlets across the country.
