ACN Plant Will Be Shutted by CPDC for Maintenance This Month

China Petrochemical Development Corporation (CPDC) is expected to shutdown its Acrylonitrile (ACN) plant for maintenance turnaround this month.   "The Da-Sheh based ACN plant is expected to remain off-steam for around 15 days from October 26, 2013, for maintenance turnaround," a company official told fibre2fashion.

The Da-Sheh, Taiwan-based ACN plant has a production capacity of 240,000 mt/year.   In Taiwan, CPDC is the main supplier of upstream raw material for three major types of synthetic fibres including nylon 6 fibre, acrylic fibre and polyester fibre.    CPDC is currently among the top 10 global ACN manufacturers.
