MTG Will Be Held From 20th of November to 23rd November, 2014

The third edition of Myanmar International Textile and Garment Industry Exhibition (MTG) will be held from 20th of November to 23rd November, 2014, at the Myanmar Convention Center (MCC), at Yangon.

Jointly organized by the Myanmar Garment Manufacturers Association (MGMA) and the Yorkers Trade & Marketing Service Co., Ltd., MTG 2014 would be the top-notch industrial event for the emerging textile manufacturing hub in Myanmar.

According to the organizers, MTG 2014 is expected to be the most convenient one-stop platform for textile and apparel businesses. The event would provide an effective way to obtain market news and increase the value of textile-related products. Numerous cutting-edge technologies, product testing, as well as textile and garment related machinery demonstration, and services would be present at the fair.

The expected exhibit profiles include looms, yarn processing machinery and accessories, weaving machinery and accessories, knitting machineries, and textile screen printing machinery.

Various textile manufacturers, knitting manufacturers, garment manufacturers, textile and garment machinery importers and exporters, distributors, agents, dealers, industry associations and trade delegations from other countries are expected to attend the event.

MTG 2014 would give an excellent environment for professionals to meet potential business partners, find product solutions and solve business challenges. By networking with local and international exhibitors, attendees can discover more possibilities and gain more understanding of the future trend of textile industry, according to the organizers.

Currently, local garment producers in Myanmar mostly deliver orders for small quantities of apparel with specific designs and usually earn revenue from local and foreign businesses and by charging service fees.

In recent months, more than 20 countries, including Japan, China, Malaysia and Germany, have announced investment in Myanmar’s garment industry. (GK)
