Starting this September, the two exhibitions will be held in halls 2 and 4 at Le Bourget.
Hall 4, the most recently built structure at the Parc du Bourget, has been selected for its ultra-modern infrastructure and its layout, which allows for better planning. It has very high ceilings and benefits from generous space with almost no pillars. The structure is altogether functional and pleasant and within close proximity to the visitors’ car park.
“With the development of Apparelsourcing Paris and as we want to offer the best possible platform for exhibitors and visitors at our shows, we have decided to leave hall 1 and have chosen hall 4 that offers technical advantages.
Obviously, the three “end use” sectors at Texworld and Apparelsourcing will be reorganised, according to the new floor space, in order to improve conditions for visitors and buyers,” explains Michael Scherpe, President of Messe Frankfurt France.
The Franco-Korean duo, Kyuho Lee and Cécile Dallançon, win the Grand Prix for Menswear and the Ethical Fashion Prize at the Dinard International Festival of Young Fashion Designers.
The festival, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, was held this April from the 19th to 21st and was crowned with success as large numbers of professionals from fashion and textiles attended.
Noteworthy: this show witnessed the victory of the Franco-Korean duo, Cécile Dallançon and Kyuho Lee, who succeeded in a double win with the Grand Prix for Menswear and the Ethical Fashion Show Prize.
The four finalists for menswear: Adrien Delabroye, Julien Trefine, both from France, Mingze Sun representing China and the Franco-Korean duo of Cécile Dallançon and Kyuho Lee presented collections that rivalled each other in creativity.
The jury, made up of journalists, designers and buyers, was chaired by Jean-Claude Jitrois. It commended the duo of Cécile Dallançon and Kyuho Lee for their collection that paired very technical cuts and original fabrics from the two designers.
The collection is interpreted with identical menswear and womenswear pieces, very much “urban jungle” style but with accomplished subtleties, snake prints, “reptile” and “shell” effects for convertible pieces, where dark grey and black predominate.
A couple in private life, Cécile Dallançon and Kyuho Lee met at Esmod Paris, where she obtained her master’s degree last year and he is completing his course this year. Working in tandem, they are developing their XY XX label and intend to promote this spirit of uniformity that they are so fond of.

Messe Frankfurt France is supporting the festival for the fourth year in a row with Texworld as the sponsor of the Menswear Grand Prix. Kyuho Lee and Cécile Dallançon will follow in the footsteps of Manix Wong, Tristan Lahoz and Romain Urnel, winners of the previous festivals, and will present their collection at Texworld against an original backdrop funded by the exhibition.
Incidentally, Cécile Dallançon already exhibited her work there in 2010 with the Esmod school.
The duo explained to us “We are very pleased with both these prizes and are moved by the reaction of the jury to our work, in particular, their response to our re-created fabrics that are at the very source of our inspiration.”
This re-creating of fabrics, or upcycling, is what set them apart for the Ethical Fashion Prize. It is sponsored by Messe Frankfurt with its Ethical Fashion Show in Berlin.
