Leading Food Industry Companies Are Backing The Food Vision Summit

Leading food industry companies are backing the Food Vision Summit – the two-day event dedicated to revealing future trends in the global food industry due to take place in Cannes, France, between March 22–23, 2013.

The Food Vision summit promises to reveal the future of food and drink manufacturing and retailing

DSM Nutritional Products, DuPont, Barry Callebaut and natural ingredients firm Cosucra are partners in the event organised by William Reed Business Media (WRBM) – publisher of host publications FoodNavigator.com and NutraIngrients.com.

The companies will head delegations of decision-makers from their own client organisations, contributing to an international audience of top executives from the global food, drink and nutrition businesses.

Flagship seminars in the summit include, Dr James Bellini, futurologist and broadcaster, on global transition and the future of food and Jeff Bellairs, senior director of Connected Innovation, General Mills, on open innovation and accelerated growth.

Arla Foods

Other speakers include Stamford University’s Dr Guy Millar on commercial opportunities and the future of nutrition and Dr Paul Cornillon, senior vice president at Arla Foods focusing on the innovation value chain: challenges in new product development for a global player.

Commenting on the summit – which will combine business networking and commercial insight – chair of the event Bellini told our sister publication FoodNavigator.com: “Our journey to the future will be shaped by fundamental shifts that will reshape the map of world economic power to 2020 and beyond affecting global trade flows and – of course – the creation and consumption of food.

“We’re in the biggest period of global change since the industrial revolution. Food Vision will help us navigate our way through it.”

DSM Nutritional Products, Europe

Dr James Bauly, DSM Nutritional Products, Europe, said: “Food Vision provides an exciting platform for food and nutrition businesses to dialogue on future trends and opportunities.”

He added: “The event’s forward looking format promises deep insight, thought provoking conversations and valuable networking, while the involvement of William Reed Business Media assures high-quality and additional leverage throughout the industry.”

Craig Binetti, president, DuPont Nutrition & Health, said: “We also strongly believe that collaboration and inclusive innovation is critical to success. As Food Vision is bringing together key decision makers from global food and beverage businesses, we look forward to working with partners on how to create sustainable and workable solutions that will shape and transform the industry of tomorrow.”
