CONEXIS Has Rolled out Exchange Connector and Premium Aggregation Services

CONEXIS has rolled out exchange connector and premium aggregation services to assist health plans to deal with implementing their premium-billing and collection services to meet the requirements introduced in the Affordable Care Act (ACA).

The ACA health plans is expected to come into force from 1 October, which requires that each health plans must first rate each family member based on that individual's unique attributes.

These include location, age, family structure, tobacco use, and benefit chosen, and after that aggregate the individual premiums into a total premium for billing purposes.

CONEXIS works as an extension of the health plan by combining with its membership and financial management systems to assist membership administration from state-based health insurance exchanges and premium aggregation from multiple third party entities.

Available across various states in the US, the connector services program integrates these services to offer health plans with a solution for billing and collecting premiums from individuals who purchase coverage through state-based exchanges.
