A New Line up of Water-Based Dry Bond Hybrid Laminating Adhesives Was Launched

H.B. Fuller has announced the launch of a new line up of water-based dry bond hybrid laminating adhesives for flexible packaging in the food and industrial markets.

The new Flextra line-up PD2243, PD2167 and PD2207 has been designed for clarity, clean machining and cell release.

H.B. Fuller flexible packaging North American sales manager Brian Glasbrenner said the adhesives have been developed to give more opetions to its customers.

"With these products, you can laminate, pouch, ship and fill packages in as few as two days," Glasbrenner said.

Claimed to be suitable for stand-up pouches, Flextra PD2243 offers better performance of the company's water-based line with clarity on various films, bond strength, chemical resistance and high heat resistance.

According to the global adhesives provider, Flextra PD2167 has good clarity and gravure cylinder cell release and is said to lead to good adhesive transfer and easy clean-up.

The base product in the family Flextra PD2207 offers better economics for a water-based adhesive and is said to be suitable for bakery, snack and confectionary packaging.
