The Project Is The Final Phase of an Euro40 Mn Investment Programme Covering Three Capital

Simonds Farsons Cisk has inaugurated the company's euro12.5mn brewhouse at an event hosted by group chairman Louis Farrugia and chief executive Norman Aquilina.

The project is the final phase of an euro40 mn investment programme covering three capital projects, including a soft drink packaging center and a logistics center inaugurated in 2008.

Farsons Group chairman Louis A Farrugia said the a business's ability to re-invent its future and to re-engineer its operations is of overriding importance.

"A willingness to embrace change and to make bold strides forward are an intrinsic part of the entrepreneurial culture of the Farsons Group," Farrugia added.

It features a modern architectural design with copper cladding, a natural ventilation system, rainwater harvesting, temperature insulation, besides the brewing plant, it also is home to a malt-handling and storage system, a rain water reservoir, a laboratory and offices.

Simonds Farsons Cisk produces beers, such as Cisk (Lager), Cisk Export (Premium Lager), Hopleaf (Pale Ale), Hopleaf Extra (Premium Pale Ale), Blue Label (Ale), Lacto (Milk Stout), Traditional and Lemon & Lime shandies, as well as Carlsberg and Skol under licence.

The company also has a 'Smooth 'n' Creamy' draught variant of Hopleaf and Blue Label, in addition, it also produces a variety of soft drinks, table waters, juices and juice drinks.
