Zenitex Has Made It to The Limca Book of Records

For the second time, Surat, Gujarat-based textile dyeing company Zenitex has made it to the Limca Book of Records for winning top recognition for sustainable practices in the textile industry in India.

Elated on achieving the recognition, Viral Desai, Zenitex CEO, told Fibre2Fashion.com, “We have to take care of nature. Moreover, nature has its own unique way of giving back.”

Under the able leadership and guidance of its CEO, last year Zenitex achieved a hat-trick of bagging the ‘National Energy Conservation’ award, given by the Ministry of Power, Government of India. The award recognises innovations and achievements for efficient utilisation and conservation of energy.

With the award, Zenitex became the only textile company in India to have won this prestigious recognition consecutively three times in a row.

Desai has also won for Zenitex the ‘Best Industries of Gujarat’ award for three consecutive years from the state government. He was also conferred with an honorary doctorate degree by the UK-based World Records University for achieving highest awards in the field of environment protection and energy conservation. He is the youngest to get this prestigious degree.

Now, Viral Desai and Zenitex appear in Limca Book of Records for bagging highest numbers of awards from the state and Central governments for environmental and energy causes, and also for best performance in Sustainability, including in the fields of environment protection and energy conservation
