China Auto Sales in 2014 Increasing 6.86% on Year and Setting a New Record

China auto sales in 2014 reached 23.5 units, increasing 6.86% on year and setting a new record. China ranks first in global auto sales in the past 6 years. And about 19.7 million units were passenger cars, up 9.9 percent, according to a report released by China Association of Automobile Manufacturers on Monday.

China Ranks 1st in Global Auto Market

The domestic brands passenger car registered a sales volume of 7.6 million units, up 4.1 percent. "Though total production and sales are still number one in the world, the growth has slowed down" Chen Shihua, director of information department of CAAM.

About 12.4 million sedan car were sold in 2014, up 3.1%. Besides,4.08 million SUVs and 1.9 million MPVs were sold. MPV's sales increases 46.79%m which is the highest in passenger cars sales.
