New Adhesives Designed to Increase Efficiency and Reducing Working Capital Was Unveiled

H.B. Fuller has announced the launch of two new adhesives, SFA8605 Solvent Free Laminating Adhesive and SB7200/XAS2283 Solvent-Based Laminating Adhesive for food packaging applications.

According to the global adhesives provider, the new adhesives join the Flextra Fast family of products and have been designed to increase efficiency besides reducing working capital.

H.B. Fuller flexible packaging North American sales manager Brian Glasbrenner said the company's Flextra Fast range of products offer increased line speed for food packaging.

"We evaluated our existing line and saw an opportunity to develop two new products to give our customers more choices to better meet their specific performance and application needs," Glasbrenner said.

Claimed to be suitable for snack applications including stand up pouches for dry snacks, Flextra Fast SFA8605 offers line speeds up to 1200fpm. It sticks well to substrates such as foil, nylon, metalized films and high-slip sealants.

Solvent-based laminating adhesive Flextra Fast SB7200/XAS2283 is said to be suited for food packaging applications including triple layer and laminations.

The adhesive offers heat resistance for use in microware, boil-in-bag, hot fill and pasteurization applications, as well as product resistance to hold up aggressive-filled goods.
