It claims to have become one of the first breweries in the UK to get an in house Wild Goose Canning Line, reports Retailtimes.co.uk.

Last October, Northern Monk Brew opened Refectory and Tap Room 4.

It is now expanding to include another site with cold storage warehouse.

Currently, Northern Monk produces more than 10,000 pints a week. It intends to expand its production capacity to 15,000 pints in the near future.

Northern Monk Brew Russell Bisset founder and owner was quoted by Retailtimes.co.uk. as saying: "Our raison d'être from the inception of the brewery has been to take the best of what came before us and look at how we move that forwards and embrace the best of the new, whether that's ingredients, techniques, dispense or packaging.

"We're incredibly excited to be able to bring our beers to our customers in a more environmentally and fresher way.

"The canning line will also open doors for us internationally and help us build on the trade we now do across Europe, we're in talks with distributors in the US as well as other destinations further afield and look forward to taking the beer we produce in the centre of Leeds across the world.

"Closer to home it's been great to work with independents across the region and we look forward to further opportunities to support and collaborate with other up and coming businesses in the City."
