Medica Has Appointed John Naylor as Senior Vice President

Medica has appointed John Naylor as senior vice president for commercial markets to enhance the business segment, effective from 19 November 2012.

Naylor will take over the new role from Simeon Schindelman, who has been appointed as chief executive officer of Bloom Health.

Medica chief executive officer David Tilford said, "He has been an integral part of our leadership team for the past two and one-half years and has been a great contributor to the growth of our commercial business."

Since joining Medica in April 2010, Naylor served as vice president and general manager of commercial sales.

For 21 years, Naylor was the market leader of Minneapolis office of Towers Watson (formerly Towers Perrin) prior to joining the insurance company.

Directly accountable for the US Central Region, he also held service on the Global Operations Council for Towers Perrin's HR consulting business.

The health insurance company provides coverage in the employer, individual, Medicaid, Medicare and Medicare Part D markets in Minnesota as well as in North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin, US.
