Honeywell Has Launched Its Hands-Free Wrist-Mounted Mobile Device

Honeywell has launched its hands-free wrist-mounted mobile device for managing the efficiency, productivity and accuracy of warehouse operations like picking, packing and shipping.

"Distribution centre operators in Asia Pacific are looking for the most flexible, application-expandable and future-proofed solutions that are aligned with the changing needs of the industry," Lynn Huang, APAC head of marketing & strategy, Honeywell Scanning & Mobility, noted. "With innovative technologies like wearable devices, Honeywell is able to deliver to both small and large customers based in the region the solutions that they need to remain competitive in a fast changing environment both today and into the future."

The new wearable device is a hands-free, wrist-mounted version of the Dolphin 70e Black mobile device and was specifically designed for warehouse operations to give workers the freedom of movement to maximise workflow productivity. It’s a cost-effective general purpose device that provides the benefits of hands-free operation without the costs associated with re-engineering devices.

It is designed to be worn for extended periods of time and be shared easily between workers, so has a more comfortable and hygienic armband than conventional wearables and is rugged to withstand the rigours of use.

It also features a large display, flexible touchscreen keypads, Windows Embedded Handheld 6.5 operating system architecture and support for tethered and BT ring scanners.
