US ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) network, Surgery Center Network (SCN) has signed an agreement with Gallagher Healthcare to provide members with a property, casualty and medical malpractice rate estimator, discounted insurance rates and other related services.
The partnership will provide SCN members with access to Gallagher Healthcare's "Premium Indication Engine," a proprietary physician management system designed to help ASCs and their physicians to use online rating software to establish a firm estimate of program premium cost based on the profile of their practice.
SCN president Jeff Blankinship said the partnership will provide ASCs with another benefit of becoming a member of the growing SCN network.
"Not only do Network members increase their exposure and ability for new patients and payor customers, but now they have access to the medical malpractice estimator and many other valuable Gallagher services,'' Blankinship added.
''The collaboration between Gallagher and SCN represents the first in many partnerships SCN will announce in the coming months that will significantly expand the breadth of beneficial services provided through the Network."
Gallagher Healthcare Advisor Cody Vicknair said the selection demonstrates that the company's financial size and geographic footprint create strong market leverage with both regional and national medical professional liability insurance carriers.
The members will also be provided with access to Gallagher's value-add services, including insurance intelligence data and analytics from Advisen, through an exclusive portal, besides direct contact to a dedicated team of healthcare insurance and risk management specialists.
Gallagher Healthcare is a division of Arthur J. Gallagher Risk Management Services, and of the country's malpractice insurance brokers for healthcare practitioners.
