TAL Is Gearing up for The 2014 Event

Four years since last exhibiting at CINTE, Super Absorbent Fibre manufacturer Technical Absorbents Ltd (TAL) is gearing up for the 2014 event. It will use the three day exhibition – held at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre between 24 and 26 September – to launch its K-Sorb fabric technology to the Asian market, as well as promoting its many other Super Absorbent Fibre (SAF)-based solutions to a wide range of visitors.

CINTE is a highly specialised nonwoven and technical textiles trade event and the only one of its kind in China to featuring different applications areas. In addition, the large amount of global exhibitors helps to attract a diverse mix of visitors from Asia and beyond.

This makes it an unbeatable platform for companies such as TAL that have a product or solution suited to many different market sectors. It is also the perfect event to launch K-Sorb to garment manufacturers, and will coincide with a further launch event being held in the UK.

K-Sorb contains the company’s patented Super Absorbent Fibre (SAF) and provides unparalleled levels of absorption and retention of sweat, which in turn affords the wearer a cool, dry feeling. “The composite structure of the K-Sorb material allows sweat to rapidly be absorbed from the body, providing a dry, comfortable feeling for the user,” explains Technical Sales Manager Dave Hill. “The sweat is locked away within the highly absorbent core, reducing wet back and the associated wet, clammy feeling. In addition, a water proof outer layer reduces the risk of wet back onto outer garments, keeping the rest of the user’s clothes dry and fresh.

“The fabric is designed to work under extreme conditions, where normal evaporation is limited or prevented – such as under heavy protective wear or within a sealed environment. The ability of the material to absorb and retain many times its own weight in sweat, which still remaining dry to the touch, allows the user to maintain a cool, dry feeling for an extended period. It is also fully washable, allowing repeated use of the material.

“Asia is of huge geographic importance to TAL. There is already a good understanding of super absorbent technology in the country and exhibitions like CINTE allow more effective and direct communication with interested parties, and so it is essential that TAL has a presence.”

In addition to K-Sorb, TAL will also exhibit other fibre and converted fabric, yarn and tape solutions for a variety of applications, including: Agro and Geotextiles, medical and advanced wound care, filtration, food packaging and hygiene. It would like to meet with anyone with an interest in its super absorbent product portfolio and is happy to arrange meetings in advance if required.
