A Mystery Handset Turned up in an APP Set-up Video Might Be The Fast-Approaching Galaxy S6

A mystery handset has turned up in an app set-up video that could be the fast-approaching Samsung Galaxy S6.

The early debut came courtesy of a clip that explains how to install and use the My Knox app, as spotted by PhoneArena.

The app allows users to annex a selection of apps behind a lock-code, which could be useful for work-related apps.

Interestingly, the device used to demonstrate the installation and set-up process is a previously unseen Samsung-stamped handset.

What’s more, the flagship-to-be looks similar to previous Galaxy S6 leaks, and gels with rumours of a slim-bezelled, half-metal handset.

It’s worth noting that this particular handset seems to do away with earlier chatter of a dual-edged curved display that would’ve seen Samsung double-down on its Galaxy Note Edge efforts.

So what are we expecting from Samsung’s next flagship smartphone? The general rumour consensus is that the phone will pack a Snapdragon 810 chip, an upgraded display, and Android 5.0 Lollipop straight out of the box.

In terms of release date, we’re expecting an unveiling around MWC time – that’s March 2-5 – with an actual launch shortly thereafter.

There’s also talk that Samsung will turn out a few possible variants of the Galaxy S6 to select partners at this week’s CES 2015 tradeshow in Las Vegas, but public and press alike won’t get a look in just yet.

Check out the My Knox set-up video below and let us know whether you think it’s the Galaxy S6 or a lousy imposter in the comments section.
