Cordura Brand Expands Its Durable Line of Fabrics at Outdoor Retailer

INVISTA’s CORDURA brand expands its durable line of fabrics in its head-to-toe product portfolio with CORDURA Lite Plus and CORDURA Air Flow Technology (AFT) fabrics—debuting them at this year’s 2013 Outdoor Retailer Summer Market in Salt Lake City, Utah from July 31 - Aug. 3.

Seven authorized mills will participate in the CORDURA brand booth (#39213), and numerous other authorized mills will exhibit new CORDURA fabric innovations for outdoor and on-the-go applications. Additionally, the CORDURA brand team will host a comprehensive fabric library, complete with fabric sampling capability to keep your favorite durable CORDURA fabrics top-of-mind.

Cutting-edge fall/winter 2013 products from leading manufacturers will also be on display, showcasing high-performance CORDURA brand textiles that have been the industry staple of outdoor brands for decades. From the Eddie Bauer Sport Shop Featherweight Field Jacket to the redesigned CamelBak HAWG pack and Billabong’s new Platinum travel collection, these products demonstrate the breadth of brands that choose CORDURA fabric for durability and style.

New branded products from leading EU outdoor manufacturers such as La Sportiva, Trangoworld and Berghaus will also be on display, along with Timbuk2’s 25th Anniversary Classic Messenger bag and Levi’s first global Skate jeans collection featuring CORDURA Denim stretch fabric.

“Manufacturers and retailers can expect an increased range of fabric technologies from the CORDURA brand courtesy of the many authorized mills exhibiting at the Outdoor Retailer show this summer,” said Cindy McNaull, global CORDURA brand and marketing director.

“We know that end-users in the outdoor, travel and apparel industries continue to seek out products that are designed to last. Product designers are responding to those needs by asking us to develop new durable fabric technologies, and we’ve delivered on those requests with a larger variety of weaves and deniers targeted for applications from performance apparel to ultra-light packs—and even footwear.”
