Emerson Process Management Opened Its New $25 Million Global Headquarters for The Design

Emerson Process Management, a business of Emerson, has opened its new $25 million global headquarters for the design, testing and manufacture of regulator technologies, including pressure regulator and relief valve solutions to help oil and gas, chemical, refining, power and other industries run their processes and operations with optimal, safe and reliable performance.

A corporate anchor tenant in The Gateway development at the interchange of U.S. 75 and the Sam Rayburn Tollway in McKinney, the new global regulator technologies headquarters is home to a world class research facility with a flow lab capable of testing regulator products in extreme conditions, as well as various materials and environmental laboratories.

The new McKinney headquarters is one of several Emerson investments in Texas including a $34 million Emerson Industry Center for Hydrocarbon and Energy and $30 million Americas headquarters for valve automation technologies, both in Houston, as well as a new $25 million complex in Austin for the process systems and solutions business.

"Emerson has been a long-time community partner in McKinney and we are looking forward to begin this exciting new chapter here," said Randy Page, president of Emerson Process Management’s regulator technologies business, who noted that Emerson has been in McKinney for nearly 50 years.  "The city of McKinney offers a talented, skilled workforce, a strong educational system that attracts professionals and their families, and leaders who support companies like Emerson that want to do business here."

The three-story, 128,000-square-foot headquarters includes offices, a customer training centre, and a fitness centre for approximately 140 highly skilled, professional employees in engineering, research and development, marketing, sales, finance and procurement.

Guest speakers for the grand opening ceremony include David N. Farr, chairman and chief executive officer of Emerson; Steve Sonnenberg, president of Emerson Process Management; and Brian Loughmiller, mayor of the city of McKinney. An American flag from U.S. Rep. Sam Johnson and a Texas flag from Texas Rep. Scott Sanford will be presented to Page.

Emerson Process Management is a $7.9 billion business of Emerson, which had $24.4 billion in global sales in FY2012. Of Emerson’s approximately 135,000 employees worldwide, a quarter of them work for Emerson Process Management.
