SATO Introduces Industrial Label Printers for Basic, Lower Volume Applications in Retail

Auto-ID solutions provider SATO has launched a new lineup of industrial label printers for basic, lower volume applications in retail, healthcare, manufacturing and logistics sectors.

The Argox X-2300E 4" 203dpi thermal transfer printer, made by SATO-arm Argox, ensures product traceability, and is complemented by a 305dpi model.

Having an intuitive LCD display and operation panel, the desktop printer requires an 8" media roll and 360M of ribbon.

The device can emulate commonly used barcode printer language and has a real-time clock chip for date and time.

Argox offers thermal transfer and direct thermal label printers, barcode scanners, and portable data terminals in Brazil, Turkey and China.

SATO Europe product manager Richard Scott said: "With our new value line we can now meet the needs of businesses who want to be able to produce high quality tags and labels without the cost of unnecessary features and functions.

Capable of being connected through 'plug-and-play' options over multiple interfaces, such as, Parallel, RS-232, USB, PS/2 keyboard and Ethernet, the printer has 32-bit CPU, 8MB Flash and 16MB SDRAM onboard memory.
