Storopack Launches New Machine to Create Protective Pads for Parcels

UK-based protective packaging maker Storopack has launched a new machine that transforms layers of paper into protective pads for small and medium-sized parcels.

The new PAPERplus Papillon creates protective pads using two 20cm wide (8") layers of paper which will be inserted between packaged goods to prevent them from movement and damage during the shipping process.

The lightweight pads with good spring effect are directly dispensed into the carton for filling voids or for wrapping goods being shipped.

Besides offering easy unboxing experience to the end-customer, the pads get quickly accustomed to the products in the package.

The machine with automatic, on-demand and manual operating modes can run at a maximum speed of 40m per minute.

This can either be used as a stand-alone unit or can be used in conjunction with silo and conveyor systems to serve multiple packing stations.

The PAPERplus Papillon's small footprint enables easy integration in existing packaging processes.

Storopack has launched PAPERplus Papillon for the e-commerce, cosmetics and pharmaceutical markets, along with companies that send lightweight packaged goods in small and medium-sized packages.
