Eastman has used the Eastman Embrace copolyester for the label and reverse-printed the image on it to offer mirror-image, metallic silver and red look with improved graphics.

Malibu global brand manager Valérie Chhoeu said the see-through sleeve and silver and red colors bring a new look to the Malibu Red bottle.

"Malibu Red is pushing the boundaries of existing categories so we wanted a groundbreaking design," Chhoeu added.

According to Eastman, the copolyester has over 75% shrinkage and ability to shrink around contoured or complex containers.

Eastman Chemical Company specialty plastics packaging market development manager Ronnie Little said packaging drives sales and attracts consumer attention on retailer shelves.

"We are pleased the Eastman Embrace family of resins can provide opportunities to enhance brand experience through increased functionality and sustainable packaging," Little added.
