Eltete Group Acquires Complete Stake in Poland-Based Packprofil

Eltete Group, a provider of transport packaging solutions, has acquired the remaining 55% stake in Poland-based Packprofil.

Eltete, which owned 45% stake in Packprofil before 2001, now became the sole owner of the company by purchasing complete interest.

The acquired business will help Eltete to expand its services to the customers in Central Europe.

As part of business strategy, the firm has divested Eltete France, which will remain as a strategic partner under new ownership in its own region.

Packprofil produces edgeboard and carton-board products for the customers in Poland.

The company’s product portfolio includes waste-paper board, carton-board edgeboards, carton-board tubes, U profiles and flatboards.

Cartonboard tubes can be used for winding different materials such as tapes, fibres, paper, films, labels and cables. They are applied in packaging processes of posters, leaflets, maps, documents, rods, glass bottles and carpets.

Cartonboard edgeboards will be used for securing products during transport. The firm offers various edgeboard products such as equal-sided edgeboards, unequal-sided edgeboards, bent edgeboards, trimmed edgeboards and self-adhesive edgeboards.

Packprofil’s waste paper board can be used in different industrial applications, including civil engineering, transport and upholstery. The firm is offering single-layer solid board in grammage up to 600 g per m².

U-profile is a fully recyclable cardboard that will protect surfaces from scratching and damage during transport. It can be used in applications such as doors, windows, countertops, panels, pipes and profiles.

In addition, the company produces fully recyclable cardboard product called flatboard. It is designed to replace hard-to-recycle materials such as fibreboards, medium density fibreboards (MDF) and particleboards.

Packprofil manages its own inhouse manufacturing facility for carton board, which is used in the production of paper cores and laminated transport packaging products.

With largest edgeboard production plant in the world, the company manufactures 25,000 tonnes of finished products per year.
