Sydney Airport Has Invited Members to Attend Its Annual Lost Property Auction on Saturday

Sydney Airport has invited members of the public to attend its annual Lost Property Auction on Saturday, 16 November, with proceeds of the auction going to charity.

"While we make every effort to return the hundreds of lost items that are left at Sydney Airport each year, many items remain unclaimed," Sydney Airport general manager corporate affairs Sally Fielke said.

"The airport holds the annual Lost Property Auction to sell these unclaimed items, with the funds raised going to various charities."

This year's auction will be hosted by Pickles Auctions Australia at 10.30am on Saturday, 16 November at 21 Woorang Street, Milperra.

"We encourage members of the public to check out the available items via the auction website prior to attending the auction to make a bid," Ms Fielke said.

"People can also view the items in person at the auction site from 8am to 4.30pm on Friday, 15 November or from 8am on the day of the auction.

"The items on offer are as diverse as the airport's 37 million passengers a year – ranging from guitars to gold necklaces – and we hope this year's auction will raise substantial funds for charity."

Lots to be sold include electrical goods, sporting equipment, musical instruments, luggage, jewellery, alcohol, cosmetics, toys, clothing and accessories.
