Organisations Nominate for The 2014 Transport and Logistics Industry Council Awards

TLISC is  inviting organisations across Australia to nominate for the 2014 Transport and Logistics Industry Skills Council Awards for Excellence.

The awards offer the opportunity to recognise and celebrate exceptional achievements and outstanding contributions made by organisations in training and workforce development in the Industry.

Following the success of the inaugural awards in 2013, a new category, ‘Trainee of the Year’, has been introduced for 2014. This award will recognise trainees who have demonstrated hard work and outstanding achievements within the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector. A finalist will be selected from each of the transport and logistics sectors with the overall winner announced at the awards ceremony.

Winners (and finalists in the Trainee of the Year category) will receive complimentary tickets, accommodation and return airfares for two to attend an industry dinner to showcase their achievements to representatives from across the transport and logistics industry. Trophies will be presented and winners will receive the right to display the winner’s logo on merchandise and advertising material.

The Awards will be an invitation-only event hosted by the Transport and Logistics Industry Skills Council (TLISC) on:

Award categories and selection criteria

The 2014 Transport and Logistics Industry Skills Council Awards for Excellence are open to both RTOs and enterprises/businesses that are registered and operating in Australia. There are 10 awards:

2014 TLISC Innovation and Excellence in Workforce Development Award
in each of the 6 sectors

  • Road transport.
  • Logistics and warehousing.
  • Rail.
  • Aviation.
  • Maritime.
  • Ports.

2014 TLISC Return on Investment in Skills Award

2014 TLISC Excellence in Industry Promotion Award

2014 TLISC Trainee of the Year Award

2014 TLISC Chairman’s Award

This year the Chairman’s Award will acknowledge an individual, enterprise or Registered Training Organisation who has developed programs and strategies that demonstrate innovation in quality training outcomes within the Transport and Logistics industry.

Nominations are now open and will be accepted until Monday 3 February 2014.
