2014 Korea Steel Demand Will Be Based on Moderate Growth This Year

It is reported that Korean POSCO Research Institute (Posri) recently predicted that 2014 Korea steel demand will be based on moderate growth this year, 51.2 million tons estimated in the year increased only on the basis of 1%, about 51.7 million tons.

The steel exports next year will be increased to 30.8 million tons, compared with 29.2 million tons estimated this year 5.6%.

According to data said that next year's steel demand growth sectors are automobile and construction industries, shipbuilding and consumer electronics demand remained weak, while the increase in auto demand at home and abroad next year, Korea auto output will be increased to 4.45 million units.
