Taiwan's Rebar Demand Has Been Picking up This Week

Taiwan’s rebar demand has been picking up this week, following by Feng Hsin’s announcement of price cut. Feng Hsin announced unexpectedly to decrease its rebar base price by NT$200/ton. Currently, the rebar market price is being prevailing at around NT$17,000~17,200/ton. It is said two of southern Taiwan's rebar mills have already received order by more than 10,000 tons this week. A market participant aid one of southern Taiwan's stockists plans to purchase 10,000 tons each from those two rebar mills, but mills refused.
