Hainan Airlines said on September 4 that the return routes between Beijing and Chicago, the third largest city of the US, completed the maiden flight on September 3, driving it to become the first China airline with direct flight between Beijing and Chicago.
This helped the airline to have three international routes between Beijing and Seattle, Toronto and Chicago.
It will upgrade the airplane for the Beijing- Chicago route to Boeing 787 Dreamliner this November, driving it to become first the airline using Dreamliner for Sino-US routes.
