NSSC,The Largest Stainless Steel Producer in Japan Announced to Hike Its Prices

Nippon Steel & Sumikin Stainless (NSSC), the largest stainless steel producer in Japan announced to hike its prices for stainless cold rolled coils (CRC) and plates for January contracts, in order to reflect higher raw material costs.

The company decided to raise its prices for austenitic CRC by ¥20,000/ton, including ¥10,000/ton to offset higher nickel prices and depreciated Japanese Yen and a rise of ¥10,000/ton on base prices to reflect tighter supply-demand.

Meanwhile, NSSC also increased its prices for stainless steel plates by ¥10,000/ton to reflect higher nickel prices and weak Japanese Yen while it kept the base prices unchanged.

Besides, NSSC hiked its base prices for ferritic CRC by ¥15,000/ton due to tighter supply and demand.
