The Average Aggregate Daily Crude Steel Output of Large Is Down 0.4 Percent

The China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) has stated that in mid-May (May 11-20) this year the average aggregate daily crude steel output of large and medium-sized steel enterprises in China totaled 1.7405 million mt, down 0.4 percent compared to early May (May 1-10). In mid-May, the average aggregate daily crude steel production of all steelmakers in China was estimated at 2.1854 million mt, indicating a drop of 0.3 percent compared with early May.

According to the CISA's previous figures, in early May this year the average aggregate daily crude steel output of large and medium-sized steel enterprises in China amounted to 1.748 million mt, up 2.7 percent compared to late April (Apr. 21-30). In early May, the average aggregate daily crude steel production of all steelmakers in China was estimated at 2.193 million mt, indicating an increase of 3.0 percent compared with late April.
