Indonesia's Iron and Steel Import Value Down 19.5% in H1

According to the data announced by Statistics Indonesia (BPS), in June this year the value of Indonesia's iron and steel imports increased by 20.8 percent compared to the previous month, amounting to $823.1 million, while the country's import value for articles of iron and steel increased by 28.6 percent month on month to $418.7 million.

In the first half of the current year, Indonesia's iron and steel import value amounted to $4.36 billion, falling 19.5 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, while the country's import value for articles of iron and steel amounted to $2.16 billion, down 17 percent year on year.
