The Steel Industry Accounts for The Largest Proportion in The Investments

ThyssenKrupp plans to invest up to BRL 450 million (US$197.4 million) in Brazil between 2013 and 2016, according to media reports.

Several projects, which are included in the total investments the company expects to make in the country, are already taking place, such as an elevators factory in the city of Guaiba, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, and the modernization of its automotive components plant in Campo Limpo Paulista, in the state of Sao Paulo.

According to reports, the steel industry is the segment on which the company will invest most. The segment accounts for 40 and 45 percent of the company's total investments in Brazil.
