The Institute of Kitchen, Bedroom and Bathroom Installers – Ikbbi - is collaborating with the Furniture Ombudsman TFO – to set installation standards within the industry.
The Ikbbi said the initiative will involve vital development work around definition of independent installation standards within the KBB sector – which is a ‘key object’ supported by members and key organizations within the industry.
“We’re delighted to be working with the iKBBI and look forward to exploring long-term opportunities in addition to short-term quick-wins.” Said Kevin Grix, TFO Chief Executive.
It will also work with the TFO on independent inspection to provide a national network of field-based inspectors, specialised in on-site KBB dispute resolution, which it says will ‘open up exciting opportunities’ for the institute and its members, as well as offer ‘greater protection for the consumer’.
