The Tire Industry Association (TIA) announced that Redburn Tire Co. is the first member to sign on with the organization's new self-funded group employee benefits solution.

The program is offered to TIA members through an alliance with The Association Benefits Solution (TABS), which is a unit of National General Insurance.

Redburn Tire will be offering the health insurance program to all eligible employees and will also be participating in the TABS wellness program.

"Redburn Tire is seeing significant savings by choosing the TIA/TABS health insurance program," says Jason Smith, controller at Redburn Tire.

"We are committed to offering our employees affordable health insurance and the TIA/TABS solution is allowing us to do just that. The wellness plan allows us to be proactive in taking steps to have a healthier workforce and to help curb the cost of health care."

In the program, TIA members will be able to choose from the Cigna and Aetna provider networks. TABS can accommodate employers located in all states except Hawaii, and the plans comply with the  Patient Protection and Afforcable Care Act.

For more information on the TIA health insurance program, contact Jeff Crumrine, TABS senior account executive at [email protected] or (336) 435-8691. For more news on the program see "TIA to offer health insurance solution."
