Plenty of Zhaga-Compliant Luminaires Were Beginning to Emerge at This Year

Plenty of Zhaga-compliant luminaires were beginning to emerge at this year's Light+Building fair. Jill Entwistle picks a few examples and outlines the different light engine types they are designed to incorporate

Trilux: Viatana

Doing It by The Book

With variable light levels from 2,000 lm to 9,000 lm, Viatana is designed to meet differing road lighting demands.

Trilux has developed a new free-form reflector of vaporised, metallised plastic that distributes light according to the application.

Mounted using only one screw fixing, electrical components are housed on a gear tray that can be removed without use of tools.

The LED module is fixed with easy-mount wedges.

Trilux: Coriflex Continuous Line System

Available as either a surface-mounted or suspended system, Coriflex has a range of accessories integrated as standard to save installation time.

The all-in-one concept, rated at 105 lm/W, includes mounting rails, gear trays and reflectors so that luminaires can be configured and mounted more quickly.

There is a choice of optics and colour temperatures, depending on the application, with a luminous flux between 3,800 lm and 4,400 lm. This allows glare reduction for office or classroom lighting, for example, or a narrow distribution solution for industrial and storage halls.

Fagerhult: Marathon Spotlight

The new LED version of the Marathon spot is available in 2,000 lm and 3,000 lm variations, both with a medium or flood distribution (29 and 43 degrees) and 3,000K or 4,000K colour temperatures.

A 1,100 lm version is available with 10, 20 and 36 degree beams. The fitting can be mounted on contact track or Fagerhult's iTrack system and comes in either black or white.

Reggiani: Philips Fortimo Spot Module NickLed Downlight

Doing It by The Book_3

Reggiani is seeking Zhaga certification for its recessed projector, NickLed.

Available in two versions, the Compact option is for diffused lighting, while the Comfort has a range of beam widths enabled by the company's IOS (interchangeable optical system) optics.

Colour temperature is 3,000K (CRI 85Ra) and the fitting comes in the three standard Reggiani recessed luminaire sizes for CFL or metal halide lamps with diameters of 154mm, 188mm and 220mm, so that it can be used to upgrade existing lighting systems.

A switchable driver means that either 350mA or 700mA can be selected at installation, allowing two options for light output and power consumption. There is a DALI dimmable version.
