It's reported that the US steelmaker Nucor announced to raise its rebar prices by US$10/short ton for new orders, effective immediately. Besides, Steel Dynamics Inc. (SDI) also increased its rebar prices by US$10/short ton as well. It's learned that the price rise was boosted by higher scrap prices over the past months and increased demand.
