An Export License Is a Permit Made to Allow a Businessman in Exporting Products

Securing Export License When Importing Furniture From China

According to the laws that support the operations on exporting,an Export License is a permit made to allow a businessman in exporting products.It is one way of country's control over exported goods.To help reduce issues on exporting,the export license is there to identify which products are accepted in the country and which products are disallowed.

All foreign trade businesses are compulsory to undergo export licensing especially the goods and products of China.If the value of the products of non-foreign trade business reaches 1000 Yuan,it is also regulated with an export allow.Except for those comply with customs regulations as personal use,export licensing is mandatory for all goods carried or shipped abroad.

Currently,authorized agencies to issue an export licenses are the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation and its Special Commissioner's Office in the major ports;Administration Department of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation in provinces,autonomous regions and municipalities specifically designated in the state plan.Issuing of the said certificate is still subject to the goods and region classification.

How to Get an Export Grant in China

Applicants for Export License,organization or individual,should write an application for Export Grant to the issuing authority listed above.

Indicate the content of the application–name of the export commodities(goods),specifications,destination countries and regions,quantity,unit price,total amount,delivery date,form of payment,etc.,as well as associated documents or materials to be presented to the issuing authority.

Foreign trade units shall provide the original contract or copy,while non-trade units shall provide the approval of the authorized department(bureau at the provincial level).

Export of antiques,books and magazines,famous calligraphy and painting(modern and contemporary)shall obtain approval from Ministry of Culture.Gold and Silver not used in jewelry shall get approval from the People's Bank of China

Under the following circumstances,recommended certificates and materials need to be provided.
As for foreign trade enterprises approved to enjoy export operation rights,when applying for export License for the first time,the copies of the following documents need to be provided:approval of the establishment of the company(enterprise),company(enterprise)regulations,
As for foreign-invested enterprises,when applying for the export licence for the first time,the copies of the following documents need to be provided:documents of approval issued by recommended departments on the project contract,business License,and annual export plan granted by the National Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation.

Examination and Verification,Form Filling

Issuing authority shall start verification procedure upon receiving the associated application materials.Upon its approval,the applicant could fill in the People's Republic of China export allow application form.

Issuing of the Permit

Issuing authority shall issue the Export Allow of the People's Republic of China within 3 working days after the application forms have been handed over in quadruplicate,the first,second,and third of which shall be in the possession of the applicant,and upon them the customs declaration and bank settlement procedures can be made.Meanwhile,a certain amount of accreditation fee must be charged.
