New Best Wire Industrial, one of the major carbon, alloy and stainless steel wire products makers in Taiwan has announced its combined sales in the third quarter was at NT$1.223 billion, falling by about 5% from NT$1.29 billion in the second quarter. Due to the firmly stainless wire and bar prices, New Best do not need to list the inventory loss in the third quarter. Also, the company's shipments in electro-polishing (EP) products have stayed firmly in the third quarter. Thus, the market analyst expected New Best's third quarter gross profit rate could rise slightly from the second quarter. To look into the fourth quarter, New Best said due to the coming Christmas and New Year holiday season, its fourth-quarter shipments may drop but the company should be able still profitable in the fourth quarter.
