BMW Has Introduced a New Variant of Its Sports Activity Coupe

German automobile manufacturer BMW has introduced a new variant of its sports activity coupe, the BMW X6.

The company will make the new vehicle available from December 2014 in three variants including the BMW X6 xDrive50i, the BMW X6 xDrive30d and the BMW X6 M50d.

BMW X6 xDrive50i will be powered by the new V8 engine capable of delivering an output of 450 hp, while the BMW X6 xDrive30d model will be equipped with a six-cylinder in-line diesel engine having giving out 258 hp.

A straight-six diesel engine combined with three turbochargers will offer an output of 381hp in the BMW X6 M50d.

All the variants are said to feature BMW TwinPower Turbo technology offering fuel consumption ranging from 9.7L to 6L per 100 km and CO2 emissions of 225g/km to 157g/km.

The three variants are fitted with the standard eight-speed Steptronic sport transmission, BMW Efficient Dynamics technology, weight-saving optimizations and improved aerodynamics.

The new vehicle will have Dynamic Drive active roll stabilization as part of the Dynamic adaptive suspension package, air suspension at the rear axle and Dynamic Damper Control included in the Comfort adaptive suspension package and Adaptive M suspension.

Features of the BMW X6 models will include adaptive LED headlights, Comfort Access including hands-free tailgate opening and closing, the navigation system with touch controller, Bang & Olufsen surround-sound system and new rear entertainment system.

Additionally, the manufacture is planning to launch the BMW X6 xDrive35i and BMW X6 xDrive40d to the model range in spring 2015.
