On Oct.18 and 19, 2012, Made-in-China.com as a special invited guest, participated in the Antwerp Roadshow which was held by the COIC and the Antwerp port authority in Shenzhen and Guangzhou.
Mr. Luc Arnouts, CCO of port of Antwerp made the opening speech, the welcome address made by Johan D’Halleweyn, Belgium Consul General Guangzhou. They expressed that it is a good and long term partner relationship between China and Belgium, the shipping throughput of China to Port of Antwerp is No.3 in Belgium. While between Pearl River Delta Region and Antwerp, the throughput has been raised up 8 times in recent 10 years. The seminar was introduced in details about the unique geographic advantage, convenient logistics and special customs regulars of port of Antwerp. Especially, Mr. Jan Van Der Borght, the representative of Antwerp in China, showed the participants how to save the time and costs shipped via Port of Antwerp, by competing the Sea Freight, KM, THC, Customs, Transport Inland, Port Logistics with the main ports of Europe.
After the seminar, the participants made friends and had the warm conversation in dinner party. Most of the participants are Logistic enterprises; they said it is useful for them to know deeply about the port of Antwerp, which will help them to choose the most cost effective shipping routes and ports for exporters. Parts of Made-in-China.com senior members attend the seminar, which will be helpful in their future export business.
