Director of the International Liaison Department of China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products (CCCME) Meets with the Spanish Counselor to China

On July 10, 2015, the Director of the International Liaison Department of CCCME Jin Luolan visited the Economic and Commercial Counsellor’s Office of the Embassy of Spain to China, and met with the first Economic and Commercial Counselor of Spain Javier Serra.

At first, Director Jin introduced the basic information of CCCME, the features of the member enterprises and the industrial distribution. He hoped to carry out cooperation with the Spanish Embassy in the information communication of major investment projects, in the contacts of economic and trade groups, and in holding business activities and products exhibition. Especially, he hoped that CCCME would take part in the governmental negotiation mechanism between China and Spain, in order to build bridges for the enterprises of the two countries to carry out economic and trade cooperation.

The Counsellor Javier Serra welcomed Director Jin and his party. He stressed that the trade contacts between China and Spain has become mature, and the potential of investment remains to be explored. After his visit to Latin America and stopped by Mallorca of Spain this May, Premier Li Keqiang met with the Spanish Deputy Prime Minister Soraya Saenz de Santamaria. Li introduced the situation of the visit, and pointed out that, China and Spain had complementary advantages, and the potential to explore the third party market through bilateral cooperation was huge, which could not only drive its own economic development, but also help the developing countries enhance the level of the infrastructure and promote the world economic development. The Spanish enterprises are willing to take this opportunity to strengthen cooperation with China in equipment manufacturing and metallurgy, and to explore the third-party market jointly.

Counselor Javier Serra expressed his keen interests to the 3rd Yiwu International Manufacturing Equipment Expo, and promised to inform the Spanish Consulate General to Shanghai the related information of the Expo. He pointed out that the opening of the Yiwu-Madrid railway line for freight traffic would facilitate the physical distribution of the two countries and regions alongside. Javier Serra hoped that the Spanish enterprises would find suppliers through the Expo and explore the market, in order to benefit the enterprises of the two countries. To better serve the enterprises of the two countries. Director Jin hoped to sign MOU with Spanish National Chambers of Commerce, in order to enhance the bilateral understanding and communication. Javier Serra agreed and said that the Counselor’s Office of the Embassy would provide possible support and help to CCCME. Taking the constitution and structure of the Spanish chambers of commerce into consideration, Javier Serra recommended CEOE to dock with CCCME.

Jin thanked the Spanish Counsellor’s Office for their trust in CCCME. He said that CCCME is willing to provide the member enterprises with a larger platform to invest in Spain, and CCCME is able to provide help to the Spanish enterprises to explore the Chinese market. The two parties hoped to enhance the cooperation level, in order to promote the bilateral economic and trade cooperation to a new level jointly.
